Customer Review: It's a GOOD BUTTER, BUT IT'S NOT SHEA BUTTER

I hate to say this, but the picture doesn't represent what was sent to me. REAL shea butter is an IVORY to BEIGE color, this is a MUSTARD YELLOW color. The butter being labeled as "Shea Butter," is in fact Kpangnan butter, an African butter SIMILAR to the qualities inherent in SHEA BUTTER. It's a good butter, but Shea butter is better and I'm giving it a 1 because the seller either doesn't know or either does know and isn't being honest.
Secondly, Shea butter has a MUCH stronger sent, isn't waxy feeling.
I'm only keeping the butter because I don't feel like sending this back.
I'll be ordering from someone else in the future and not on here as many 3rd party vendors are selling this African Butter as "Shea Butter."

I ordered this product on the evening of the 26th and received it in the mail today which is the 29th. I can't wait to use it on my skin and on my hair. My best friend and I have decided to go natural and have been natural for the past year and a half. We have been using shea butter but not in its pure form so I am very excited to see how it works. I thought this product would come in the form of the picture but I am happy with the two 8 oz containers that I received which. Past reviews have been correct as far as the smell and the feeling of play doh, hopefully the results will be as good as everyone elses. That and the fact that the shipping was excellent is the reason why it gets five stars. I will update later on the results of this product.Customer Review: It is, what it is.

I read several reviews prior to purchasing this product. Should I buy white or gold shea butter? Will it be 100% pure and raw? Well, I finally ordered and I have to say, I like it. I used it to create my own body butter using Jojoba Oil, Coconut Oil and Grapefruit Essential Oil. I also use it in my hair as a pre-poo. I absolutely love it! It is not a miracle cure, but it works better and longer than the store bought products I have used for years.
I don't recommend using the shea butter alone, the initial smell is a little "smoky" not sure what else to call it and while it does liquify quickly once it comes into contact with body heat, I like it better smooth.
It shipped quickly and was wrapped well.

I looked around for a while for good shea butter and I stumbled on this product. The price was reasonal enough for me to try it. When I got it, it was double the size of the picture and it is in chunks in a clear plastic tub. At first I didnt like the smell but once I put it on it faded within a couple minutes but the more I put it on the more I liked the smell and now I dont even notice it. It melts easily in your hands and rubs on smooth and if you have dry skin it really penetrates and moisturizes the skin. I really recommend it for people with dry skin it works wonders. They also delivered super fast and it was packaged nicely I will definitely buy from here again. Great price and a great product.Customer Review: product/customer service

I am a novice soaper. I live in a very rural area and could not find shea butter around. So I took a chance and ordered this. So far the product feels great just being rubbed into my skin.
But I have to tell you the thing I was most impressed with was the price and the service. Other places I found on line were charging 2x as much for 1/2 the amount. And the s/h were outrageous on the others.
I was told it would be available to ship after 4/20, but thanks to GREAT customer service, I received it on 4/18. 4 days after I placed the order. I promptly re-ordered so I will have plenty on hand.
If you want good pricing and good service and good product, this is the place to go.
