I first used natures blessings some eight or nine years ago when I bought it off the street near Downtown Brooklyn for the price of 2/$5. It worked well in my hair, but in hindsight, the "pure mineral jelly" probably contributed to product buildup in the locs I had back then.
A few years later, I found it in a shop run by a Rasta in Stone Mountain, Ga for $5 each, using it sparingly. I eventually started to use it on my body instead of my hair.
Now that I am still natural (but without locs) and am trying to learn how to take care of my hair now that the texture has changed (more kinky), I am going to start using this product, even with the 'pure mineral jelly' component---only because I wash my hair more often, which will probably help with any buildup issues.
Overall,I recommend the product if you are careful about weighing your hair down with (any) product.
