I have always had very weak fingernails. They are pliable and bend back and forth easily, which can be painful. I've tried paint-on nail polish type "strengtheners", but they all left a glossy varnish over my nails that eventually chipped off, and left my nails the same as before (if not worse for having been stripped by the polish). I found 5 Second Strengthen and thought I might as well give it a try.
It's amazing. This is the only thing that has ever worked for my fingernails. It's a marker-type pen that literally only takes a few seconds to apply to your nails. I like pretty much everything about it; it's unscented, goes on clear, and it's matte - it seems to soak into the fingernail rather than remaining on top in a shiny layer. But the best thing is that within a few days, my nails were noticeably stronger. Before I could press down on the tip of a fingernail and watch as it bent double. I can't do that anymore! The nail won't bend. It's kind of amazing. I think this has something to do with the fact that the product contains keratin (the material found in nails to begin with) which somehow bonds with your fingernails to make them stronger. Whatever the reason, I am on my way to being able to grow out my fingernails for the first time in my life. I highly recommend this product.
