I'm one of those people that has had acne for about 10 years now. woohoo. I took every antibiotic under the sun with the exception of Accutane(side effects are too risky.) Well, I was using proactiv for awhile and it was doing alright but was breaking the bank. Started using Acnefree and was getting the same results. Neither one completely cured my acne, but it's good for people with some mild acne, not a cure all. It does help keep my face mostly clear. But again, don't stop the regimen because your acne will come back. I've never had a problem with redness. I think it's just a reaction some people have to the dosage of benzoyl peroxide.Customer Review: TOO STRONG!

This product is definitely not good for sensitive skin. When I used it, I could smell bleach in it and it destroyed my complexion. Most of the pimples went away but when I used the so-called "Repairing Lotion", it CAUSED more pimples. I put it on my cheek and it was red the next day and I could feel a pimple forming underneath the skin, a cyst-like pimple--the worst kind you can get. The toner contains alcohol, which is too harsh for the skin (Proactiv has an alcohol-free toner) and I got so fed up with it. I stopped using everything after a week because my skin couldn't take it anymore. Be sure to test it on your skin before you use it!Customer Review: AcneFree works buttt...

Yes, Acne Free does work wonders. It treats acne just as well as, if not better, than Proactive at half the cost. Unfortunately, there is a downfall: you have to use Acne Free RELIGOUSLY for it to work. I had been using the product for about a month and my skin was almost perfectly clear. I went 48 hours washing, toning, and lotioning my face only twice instead of four times and all hell broke loose! It took me a week to get my face clear again! Gahhh!
Overall, a great product; I just wish it wasn't so time consuming. I guess you have to go the prescription cream route if you're looking for something to just apply and go.

I only used it for 4 days, and it made my skin worse than it began with. I have been having a lot of acne recently and I thought that this product would help me, but when I applied the cleanser to my face, it felt itchy, burning, and it did not feel smooth at all. It felt like little beads stinging at my face. The same is true with the lotion. After those 4 days, I started noticing my skin flaking off!!! My face was so dry. White stuff was hanging off my chin and cheeks. This never happened to any of the other products I used to treat acne. So, I had to buy extra moisturizing products just to fix this problem. Ok..I have seen some stupid reviews like 'OOOH my acne got worse!! It must be the ACNE FREE product!!'. It IS the acnefree product. What it does is sucks the acne deep down in your skin to the surface so you can then wash it away when it comes up. THAT'S ALL. Gah..stupid people..
But this product is amazing. My skin got a little dry and rough, BUT my sister(who is a dermatologist) and brother both who used it said it is JUST your skin getting used to it. THAT's IT. Do NOT STOP USING IT. It will work. I saw major results in a week. It is better than Proactiv, me being a past user of proactiv.
