This was my hair-product of choice for a number of years. However, I had once purchased one of these pucks from a department store, and had been dissapointed in the quality (I think it was old...). Based on that experience, I was a little nervous about purchasing it online.
But I was wrong to worry! The two pucks showed up quickly, and they were every bit as good as I remembered.
Put a dab of this on your finger, spread it through your hands, and then massage it through your hair. It will style easily, but it won't crisp like gel. Instead, your hair holds it's shape, but still feels soft. Mine starts to wear out towards the end of the day (on my part, where I usually have a hard time getting hair to stay in place) and it can start to look a little 'dusty' if you use too much.
If you use the right amount, and you aren't running around in the wind, it's perfect. I love it, and I'll continue to buy it on Amazon. What a great price!

Over the years I have used lots of hair care/styling stuff over the years, from just letting it air dry to super hold gels. I had heard about Pomade from back in the day and thought it would be worth trying. I had been using Brylcream for a while but the little dab just didn't give me as much control as I would of liked.
This does a better job of providing hold with flexibility. It has a pleasant smell and rubs into you hands and then rubs right into my hair. If you don't use too much it doesn't give you the super slick wet look but it gives you a little shine and nice classy hold.
Price wise I know it seems a little high, but you do get the two jars which should last for quite a while, of course depending on how much you use. And you don't have the hard hat stiffness of gel, or the looseness of a cream. I have now become a very big fan of the product and will continue to use it as long as I can get it here.

When I first transitioned from mousse, gel and hairspray into a different type of hair-control product, I initially tried pomade. The stuff definitely works, but it's a tad on the greasy side. If you don't wash your face several times a day, your face will get shinier and shinier as the hours pass. It's good for several hours, but you should wash it out at the end of the day lest you run the risk of increased acne. American Crew Forming Creme for Men Medium Hold and Medium Shine, 3-Ounce Jars (Pack of 2) is what I later stuck with for a while, but that's only slighly less greasy. Now I'm using TIGI Bed Head After-Party Smoothing Cream for Silky, Shiny, Healthy Looking Hair! 3.4 oz, which doesn't grease me up like the American Crew products.Customer Review: INCREDIBLE Price - Stop Shopping Around

I realize I may sound like an Amazon shill here, but I promise I'm not.
Everything has already been said about how great of a product this is (which is why I gave it five stars).
I just wanted to tell people to stop shopping elsewhere for a better price. Especially with the 15% savings for signing up for a subscription (which can be cancelled anytime, even after the first order), this is the best price you'll find out there.
My local drug store sells this for $18/EACH, and various other online stores charge about $15 each.

I've tried SumoTech, which is supposed to have pretty good hold. Not enough for my thick, wavy hair! American Crew's Pomade is the only product that actually makes my hair look presentable, without the stiff, crunchy effect. I used to hate my waves, but I've learned to own it! Most wavy-haired people want straight hair, and vice-versa. Not this time! This pomade gives my hair a nice shine without looking greasy. Reactivates with a little water, yet washes out easily!
