I used this hair dryer while staying at the Marriott Courtyard and was very impressed by it's utility and facility of use that I noted the make and model and ordered it immediately (2 units) upon returning home. I have THICK, long hair, and needed something that is hot and has powerful blowing power. This is it! The price is GREAT, and the wattage is what an electrician recommends, and it puts out more heat than my 1875 watt dryer did! The dryer is smaller and does a better job than the larger, bulkier, heavier ones. And the price!?! 13.99! Deal!
This dryer is awesome, going to get the smaller compact version for my kids bathroom.

I first discovered this well-functioning hair blower at a hotel where I was staying. The lightweight, sleek design hair styler seemed to have a higher heat output at a lower wattage than any models I had owned. I purchased one from Amazon when I returned home and as usual, received my items in record time. I actually needed a hair dryer for use in my auto detail work. One that had enough heat but not as much as a heat gun. This one works very well. The Andis 40055 Pro Style 1600 Hair Dryer is about as close to getting a real professional model as you can get without spending big bucks. It blows plenty of air (which you can control). It has plenty of heat (which you can also control). There's no reason to shop for a different model - get this one.Customer Review: Love this dryer

I love this dryer by Andis. Marriott Hotels have them in their rooms. I first used a wall model at a Marriott and really liked it. Recently, we stayed in a Marriott that had this particular model. It was light weight, great for travel, yet powerful. When I got home from my trip, I looked it up and ordered it immediately. Now I do not have to pack my bigger, heavier hair dryer, I have a great travel dryer that works like a bigger model.
