I almost bought an $80 flat iron. Thank God I decided to read some reviews on others first. I read the reviews for this flat iron and was really impressed that such a reasonably priced item received such great response. The price was so great I figured what the heck its worth a try. I am so glad I went with the reviews and my gut instinct.
My hair looks great and my sister even tried it and is buying one.
I would definetly recommend it. Great Buy!!!

I read all these great reviews on this straightener, and so I was very excited and optimistic when I went to buy my Andis flat iron from Walmart. A week later, it was broken, wouldn't turn on. I thought that this would last me years, so I didn't keep the receipt. I feel like I just flushed $16 down the toilet. I didn't throw it in the sink or anything hardcore, just used it twice and kept it in my bathroom and it broke. I'm pretty disappointed with this product.Customer Review: Great value

I had a cheap straightener that I bought in an emergency in Walgreens and ended up not replacing it for years - and finally decided it was time. This is FAR FAR superior and probably even cheaper than the cheap one I had bought before. In no time at all it makes my hair look straight and smooth and really feels like it's not damaging my hair. I haven't used it to do curls yet but I'm excited to give it a try. Very pleased with this purchase.Customer Review: Love it!

It gets really nice and hot. I am black and it works great on getting my hair straight. The only thing is that the paint on the inside plates has started to chip a bit. I used to do my hair every week and then I thought I was getting kinda frail hair. Now I do it every two or three weeks and my hair looks really nice, majority of the time. I was so tempted to buy one of those $100+ hair irons. But thanks to the reviews on Amazon, I bought this one. I think this is one of the best value for money items that I have ever bought. The iron is smooth and heats up very fast. I usually keep it at about 10, sometimes between 10 and 15 and it does a good job of straightening my wavy hair. Add a little thermal protection cream and I am all set for 2-3 days without reusing it.
