This ointment does not irritate sensitive skin and keeps even the dryest skin soft. I use this at night before bed; I find it's too greasy to use during the day, although it's much less greasy than Vaseline, and easier to take off too. I find it especially useful on my feet, elbows, and lips: my lips haven't been chapped even once since using this product!Although this isn't very practical as a day moisturizer, I find that my skin stays soft throughout the day, even though I had applied it the night before. I love this product and swear by it-I will never go back to the creme based moisturizers that dried out and irritated my skin more than they moisturized.
