Customer Review: 5 Star Product....But Not The Best Buy

Aveeno - Daily Moisturizing Lotion" was recommended to me by my Doctor. Maybe it was due to the unusually winter-like weather we had here in sunny So. Cal, last year(winter-like to us, anyway) but my skin was so dry,it was flaky and I was using lotions like crazy. I tried so many of them, and within hours I had to reapply. I was always feeling greasy after application. It was like I was oiling up to swim the English Channel or something.
So I gave this one a try. One more to add to the list. The difference was this one actually worked! It says it moisturizes for 24 hours (yeah right!, I thought), and it does. It absorbs quickly, and left my skin feeling much smoother, without all the grease. One tip my Doctor gave me, that I'll pass along is to just barely pat dry after showering, and apply the lotion while still a little wet. That way the lotion will capture the moisture.
The ingredients use an Oatmeal formula and contains the following:Dimethicone 1.25% (Skin Protectant)|Water|Glycerin|Distearyldimonium Chloride|Petrolatum|Isopropyl Palmitate|Cetyl Alcohol|Avena Sativa Kernel Flour (Oat)|Benzyl Alcohol|Sodium Chloride. It is fragrance free and states it will not clog pores.
This 12 0z. Lotion is a good buy at this site compared with my local market, but may not be the best buy to be found here at this time(and my reason for 4 stars here, instead of 5). Great for dry, chapped, flaking or windburned skin. Take it with you on sailing or skiing trips. Excellent product and great buy.
