Pros
- Appears to have a heavy duty motor
- Puts out ample heat and power on the High setting
- Lifting visor temporarily shuts it off
- Noise level is acceptable
- Easy to clean filter
- Easy to raise and lower hood on pole
Cons
- Will not extend high enough for tall people!
- The hood will not tilt back (it's stationary)
- No Medium setting. You either get low/cool, low/hot or high/hot. Could use a medium/hot in my opinion.
- Durability of the heavy hood mounting on the base (plastic to plastic) is in question over long term use.
- No air holes in the front part of the hood. Some people might prefer this, but not me.
- Built in 'air flow diffuser' basically does nothing.
- The top part of the dryer where your head snugs up to it is more flat than round (like on most dryers) So it doesn't form fit to your head as well...I don't like this. Minor gripe, though.
Extra comment: They don't make hard hat/bonnet dryers like they use to, that's for sure. This one is more expensive and made better than the Wal-mart type, but still has a cheesiness about it. Definitely don't pay more than $99 for this model. I'd say it's worth about $80, tops!
