I had never used body powder before, but once I started shaving my groin area, I wanted something to keep the sweat away and to keep skin from sticking to skin. After I get out of the shower, I dry off and put about 2 "splashes" of this stuff down below. It feels cool going on and the "tingle formula" is nice and refreshing. It makes you feel soft and silky, so once you get used to using it, you'll miss it when you forget to put it on.
I only have one small issue with this product, and that's the smell. As others have noted, it has a floral smell to it that is probably a little bit more masculine than feminine, but it's not overly masculine. It is a pleasant smell, but I believe that since this product is clearly marketed towards men, it should have a very definitive masculine smell.
The last issue I have is with the price. It's expensive, but I guess it falls within the range of what others go for. Of course, you can get some Gold Bond and pay half the price, but call me shallow for the fact that I think the black Balla container looks much nicer on the bathroom counter than an orange bottle, and it smells better too. If it helps, one container lasts me about 6 months or so, so the price is manageable in that regard.
