Customer Review: Another Divine BareMinerals Addition

Though I'm still relatively new to bareMinerals, less than 6 months at this point, it was a quick fall for me and I went from a starter kit to a full 5 shelf bin in the bathroom in about a month.
A quick recap on me: I'm over 40, getting some fine lines and also the occasional breakout, getting aging and sun damage correction and using the dreaded Obagi for my skin. The reaction to Obagi is what drove me into bareMinerals' arms and I've been quite happily there since.
The second thing I added to my inventory after the initial kit was this one after just 10 days of using the foundation. While the Warmth and the Mineral Veil are repeats of the starter kit, the Radiance and Well-Rested for Eyes are new. What I was really after in this kit was the Well-Rested and the brushes! For the record:
Well-Rested for Eyes: It looks a tad yellow-ish in the jar but doesn't on the face. Using the uber awesome Feather Light brush, you just sort of sweep this in the shadow prone areas around the eyes and like magic, no more shadows. It doesn't affect the way the eye make-up goes on or anything of that nature but it does reflect light just so.
Pure Radiance: I do like this but I can't really say why it works. I'm not sure if it diffuses light or what but it softens and glows. Not like glitter, but just a sort of healthy glow without color.
Warmth: Used with the utmost caution and very sparingly, it can bring a natural sun-kissed look. Not to be used with the radiance, this is like a less subtle way of saying, "Hey, I'm healthy!". Again, use caution or you'll look like a bad spray tan.
Feather Light Mineral Veil: This is a very pale looking powder but it is very translucent. I think it does very slightly lighten the foundation but not enough to quit using. It is like the most subtle version of Pure Radiance and can be used over the whole face.
The brushes in this set are heaven. The feather light brush is just plain perfection for anything like Mineral Veil or Well-Rested. The angled brush is just right for blush or more precise applications and the small brush is one I use for eye make-up application and concealer.
The containers in here are much smaller than in the starter kit. For me that is another bonus however. These smaller containers don't have the click-lock lids but are much more handy for traveling. So, the duplicates from the starter kit are now in my back and forth bag for work and the gym.
Overall, this is an excellent buy, particularly for the brushes. The products do exactly as advertised and are friendly to middle-aged skin and those using Obagi. Enjoy!
