Customer Review: Not up to the hype

I was really excited to get Benetint because of all the good things I've heard about it. When I finally got it, I put it on immediately but was disappointed because it didn't show up that well (I'm tan in the summer and yellow-toned in the winter - it's the Chinese!). Also, it stained my fingers , which faded during the day, but was still bothersome to look at in the first couple of hours. On the plus side, it was really easy to blend because it's liquid and I guess if I had layered on more, it would have shown up better. Also, it smells REALLY good, like a fresh bunch of roses! However, I decided to return this in favor of Tarte cheek stains because the nail-polish application just wasn't working for me. I like Tarte cheek stains better because they're a more solid, gel-like substance and I feel like they show up better. But that's just me! Benetint is good if you can get the hang of the application and don't mind stained fingers for a couple hours after! I only tried this as a cheek stain, since I wasn't looking for a lip stain.Customer Review: Natural rosy glow

Having an olive complexion is great in the summer when the sun kisses your cheeks for a healthy glow == not so in the cold autumn and winter months in the Northeast! I have gone through dozens of blushes, tinted moisturizers, "natural" blushers, and whatever else...bottom line, they all made me look like a clown with red cheeks. Benefit's Benetint is different in that it will blend to the appropriate glow according to whatever natural hue your skin has. I bought one bottle, used it daily and had people telling me I looked healthy and rosy. The liquid stain lasts pretty much all day long, and it's easy to wash off with your normal night cleansing routine. Only thing I didn't appreciate was that the twist off top (like a bottle of nail polish) was not sturdy enough to hold up to daily twisting, hence, the cap cracked an I nearly spilled the entire bottle when it broke. I brought it to the retailer where I bought it and they replaced the cap for me. I'd recommend this for every age and skin condition.Customer Review: Fun to try, but not universally flattering

I am very fair skinned and after reading all the reviews, I thought this might be a fun splurge since I'd been hearing about it for years.
Pros: Feels very nice on and my skin clarity seemed to improve (A plus, since I have very sensitive skin). I will definitely be using cheek stains in the future (verses powder blush, my former weapon of choice).
Cons: Other than the price (youch), this color does not work on my really fair skin. Because I already have red undertones to my skin, it only exaggerates them, so it looks like I am feeling a bit feverish. The color in the bottle had me worried about this, but a lot of folks and magazines over the years have said that it was great "universal" shade. This is not so. But at $28/bottle, I am freakin' using this stuff up. Will try Tarte next time, or another brand.
Customer Review: A great product for my cheeks and lips

After reading some of the reviews I was a little skeptical when I placed the order. However my skepticism wore off when I first used it. I have a medium / olive skin tone and The color is rosy pink therefore it goes perfect for my skin tone and doesn't come out as too red-ish. Recently I've gotten a tan for staying out in the sun too much during summer (more like my face went red), and the color of the tint almost mimicked it very close. So during winter after my tan wears off I can use this tint for sun kissed cheeks look.
The product itself is light weight easy to apply with the brush (then you have to rub it with a finger). I like the smell of rose water. It didn't give me a breakout. Overall I will buy this product again.
I will recommend this product for people with medium to dark skin tone.

I've been looking for an easy to use, last all day blush and I was excited to pick up this product. As a non-Caucasian, it's always a challenge to find colors that work for me and aren't too light.
Overall, I found this product to be mediocre, and though I definitely plan to use up what I have (at this price, I can't afford to throw it out after only a few uses!), I wouldn't buy it again.
I can achieve a subtle flush but I have layer on the color, and I usually top it off with some other blush. I also find that much of the color ends up on my fingertips, and since it's a stain, it doesn't wash off easily. I wanted to use this blush for my upcoming wedding, but I don't want to walk down the aisle with hot pink fingers!
I like the Tarte cheekstain much better for both color and application.
