Customer Review: Over 30? Throw away the concealer (especially in the summer!) and use this instead.
Summary: 5 Stars

If you're over 30 and have under-eye darkness issues but want to look natural and not caked-up, this is what you need for the summer (and quite possibly year-round). You probably notice that in the summer the undereye concealers that may look good the hour you apply them either melt and slide after an hour, or they just highlight the area you're trying to cover and, what's worse, make the area look all "paper-ish" and bring out those new little lines you hate so much. That's because they're either too heavy or too drying. I've found that this is the only product that doesn't have that effect. I use it in the summer and it seems to add hours of sleep to my face when I apply it. And the look lasts, not just for the first hour. You look dewy and natural, not made up. Just younger or more well-rested. For at least half the year, this is a staple in my makeup bag. Tip: Take care to appy it only to the inner dark corners of your under-eye area, not the entire peri-orbital area or you risk looking fake or drawing attention to the area. Also DON'T OVERDO IT (frequent mistake with this product): a tiny bit does a lot. Too much may look garish and will only succeed in highlighting what you want to cover-up. It also makes for a great brow-bone highlighter. I recommend buying this product inside Benefit's "The Realness of Concealness" kit because it provides you with less of it (you'll never use all of what you get with the full-size product) plus about 4 other useful products for about the same amount of money (so if for some reason this product doesn't do it for you, likely one of the others in the kit will). And the kit is cute and has a mirror!

Customer Review: I wasn't expecting a miracle...
Summary: 4 Stars

As someone who has had droopy eyes my whole life (it's genetic), I can say that this is the first thing that has ever helped. It isn't supposed to be used for dark circles, that is what the "Eyecon" is for. I haven't tried that product so I can't vouch...But, this had wonderful results on my under-eye puffiness and I wasn't expecting any results. I applied it to one eye and not the other and the difference was noticable. It feels cool because of the botanicals and does have the additional light-reflecting pigment to diffuse natural light and soften the lines. It isn't going to erase age but it will definitely play it down. I certainly prefer this to spackling my face with concealer. If there is a Benefit counter near you, try it out there. They are usually very generous with the advice and samples...

Customer Review: Perfect after a Tear Jerker
Summary: 5 Stars

As someone who loves a good cry (at a book, movie, oreo commercial) this is the only thing that will get my eyes back from that puffed up look that makes everyone ask "what's wrong?" As others stated here, don't apply so much that you see the color. And even though the box says to use it over makeup, I had better results using Ooh-La-Lift first, and then dabbing a bit of concealer over it at the inside corner of my eye and blending out. It makes the eye look more open, and de-puffs as well. I also find it helps with the upper lid puff too. I don't know that it can reverse genetics, but it certainly can reverse a late night out or a tear-jerker DVD.

Customer Review: Oh dear, wrong color!
Summary: 1 Stars

This was a total disaster on me. I got it as a sample and I am giving away to someone who can wear cooler colors better. It just highlights the area I want attention drawn away from and I look sort of ill and tired in it. Just for the record, I have weird skin tones. Irish dad gave me very fair skin that blushes easily, and French mom gave me olive undertones, so I can wear black, grey, reds, browns, dark blue or grey blue, olive green, most shades of darker greens or dark teal, eggplant, burgundy, burnt orange, but I have to avoid anything pastel, aqua, sky blue, lavender, yellow or white. Also the Lemon Aid is equally horrible on me.

Customer Review: it was too good to be true..
Summary: 2 Stars

of course, i'm another one who will never, ever learn her lesson..
i'm in my late 20s and i'm noticing the first signs that usually appear when you've enjoyed your youth too much (eeek!!) so i thought i'll give this oooh la lift thing a try. I put it under my eyes and waited for the results... and waited, and waited. NOTHING! the only good thing about it is how refreshing it feels in such a delicate area, and it absorbs quickly leaving the skin soft, but the lines and the dark circles were still there.. don't waste your time (and money) on this, I love Benefit cosmetics, but, honestly, this one does not deliver the goods.
