This product is so good that I actually paid TSA $15 to have it shipped rather than confiscated when I forgot to pack it in my luggage. My wife thought I was out of my mind as I was surrounded by agents who probably thought likewise. But - after purchasing a new Panasonic shaver and the shave cream I found such a wonderful result from both products that I did not want to give it up. This "cream" does not lather well, it's too liquidy or something. I tried it a several times and was could not help getting cut. While the scent was pleasant, it is definitely not one of the better creams out there. I have a tough beard as well and this did nothing to make the shave easier. I even used their hot towel treatment, but nothing. To be frank, it is not much better than a canned shaving gel at a drugstore. Overall, it is overrated and should only be used if you want to pay a lot of money for under performing product.Customer Review: Super smooth cream for a super smooth shave

This stuff is pretty awesome. It has a somewhat odd consistency and when you apply it to your face (it helps to have your face moistened or a bit of warm water handy) it forms a thin layer that is visible but not obstructive.
Once you begin shaving, you'll notice how much it helps. I've tried a lot of different products and this with a Mach3 Turbo gives me the 2nd smoothest shave I've achieved (the smoothest being a combination of 1/2 BJ Hydroplane + 1/2 Hot Towel). It has a pleasant smell and good moisturizing effect.

I bought this Shave Cream for my boyfriend because his shave cream really was not working. He had red bumps, ingrown hairs, and his face just looked a mess, but only around his beard area. After a couple of weeks of using Hydroplane, his face was much more calm. I was surprised what a smooth shave it provided him too. (I am not really into scruffy). At first he said he didn't like that it foamed up like his previous shave cream, but he is certainly not complaining now that his skin looks so good. After reading all the glowing reviews I decided to try this product for use with my new Panasonic ES-LA93-K wet/dry razor. Bad decision! This expensive sticky mess was worse than shaving dry. Difficult to clean out of the razor. Then I rechecked the Amazon five star reviews and found that most were written by people who did NOT buy the product from Amazon. Only seven out of 32 5-star reviews were from Amazon purchasers. It could be that Billy Jealousy shills submitted the majority of "glowing" reviews.
