I am very sensitive to perfumed items. This hand cream has a very distinct smell but it's not a perfume-type scent and it's not a fruit-like scent either. It smells like a plant: the scent is very natural. If you're worried about the smell, just go to The Body Shop and test it out! I have not met anyone who dislikes the scent. What I love the most about the smell is that this is not a scented lotion: it's a hand cream that happens to have a scent.
This is also the best moisturizer I have ever used. It is great for winter hands. I worked retail for a long time and was constantly using hand sanitizer or washing my hands (money is dirtier than toilet seats!!), and this hand cream has saved my fingers from being cracked and bleeding!
The only reason this isn't getting five stars is because of the price. BUT The Body Shop does have sales and if you watch out for them, you can get it for a steal! The big tube usually lasts me about three or four months. A little goes a long way with this great moisturizer. I have never found anything else that works as well as this!
