Customer Review: Defective Design and Useless after 6 months

I bought this with the Braun 360 Shaver, and it worked just fine for about 4 months. After 4 months, the metal pins in the back that connect to the razor had slowly been pushed back. Since there's no support behind them, eventually they lean back enough that they barely make contact with the pins on the Braun 360. This still lets the shaver charge, but the cleaner does not register the shaver as being there, so it will not clean anymore. Unless you wiggle the shaver around for 5 minutes, then stick a washcloth in the edge to wedge it up against the pins again, it won't ever clean. I was able to open the unit and carefully push the pins back out a bit, and that helped for about a month, but again, with no rear support the pins just go right back in making it an expensive holder.
I contacted P&G and Braun support and they wanted me to box the unit up, bring it to UPS and mail it to Cincinnati, where they'd repair it and send it back. All I had to do was pay for all the shipping costs, which makes no sense that I need to pay for their defective product. Finally they agreed to send me a new one. Like clockwork, this second one failed in the same way after 4 months. After 6 months, the charging wasn't even working and I had to plug the shaver directly into the power cord. Contacting them again, they refused to do anything except offer the suggestion that I look for a coupon in my local newspaper to buy another cleaner so I wouldn't have to buy another for full price.
Only buy this if you want to rent a cleaner for 4 months.
