I have used the CHI iron for years before millions of other great flat irons came out for MUCH lower prices. I have always had a love/hate relationship with the CHI. When it works it is a truly great straightener. The problem is... it only works for so long. I went through 4 straighteners in two years and I don't straighten my hair everyday either. The company is great at sending you a new straightener but you never know how long it will last. It stops coming on eventually or you have to turn the cord to a certain position to even get it to work. I highly recommend anyone to go to TJ MAX. You can get high quality straighteners at a very low price there.Customer Review: Gets the Job Done

My hair is naturally wavy and I usually like to keep it that way. However, the few times I do wear it straight, I don't really want to spend a lot of time fiddling with, especially in the morning. Probably the biggest slower-downer when it comes to flat irons is getting them heated up quickly, and keeping them hot.
Well you simply won't have that problem with the CHI. It heats up fast, AND stays that way. Because its ceramic, its a bit pricey, but I feel its well worth it. I probably wouldn't mess with lesser brands, especially if they're not ceramic- as with many things, you get what you pay for.

This is not a real CHI flatiron. It does not work as well as a CHI, it does not get as hot as a CHI, is not made from the same quality material as a CHI, does not come with a 2 year warranty like a CHI, the Farouk name stamp comes off after a week, there is not a serial number on the iron like a real CHI, does not have a model number on it like a real CHI, even the box it comes in is thin cardboard compared to the box the real CHI comes in. At the price paid it is simply a rip off and was returned. In all fairness to there being different vendors mine came from Good Stuff Ever through Amazon - but never again.Customer Review: Works great, but still too expensive

I gave this product 4 stars because although the iron is the best I have ever used, I still think it is just too expensive for what you get out of it. Having said that, it is very durable and works perfectly. So if you don't mind overpaying, you will be happy with the product.

I just recently purchased the CHI flat iron from Beauty Plus+. The delivery from the time of purchase was very fast, which was awesome. The product itself, not so much. Having previously owned a CHI flat iron, the temperature to which it goes to is very hot, but the one that I purchased from Beauty Plus+ did not heat up at all. I was very disappointed because the service of this product was fast and efficient, yet the product was faulty. I am still waiting on the replacement..so I am hoping that the product will work once it's delivered.
