I first started using this when there wasn't that many make-up remover face wash around. It was the time when people did not have the concept of using a make-up remover before using a facewash (I know it sounds like a lot of work, but this is one of the best advice I was given to get clear skin). I don't usually wear a lot of makeup, but I DEFINITELY wear a high SPF/PA+++ sunscreen (High SPF blocks harmful UVB rays, which causes your skin to get dark. PA+++ indicates the level of UVA protection, which goes deeper in the skin and causes wrinkles and other signs of premature aging. +++ is the highest PA on the market right now). That being said, it's very important that I take off all that sunscreen at the end of the night every day. This was a good make-up remover back in the days when there were not too many options around, but it is no longer the case. It's not a bad cleanser--it does what it says to do, but there are definitely better alternatives on the market. I think a lot of the cleansing oils on the market are wonderful (Anybody can start off with DHC. Shu Uemura also makes good ones) Good luck!
