Customer Reviews of Caruso C97953 SalonPro 30 Molecular Steam Hairsetter with 30 Rollers

Customer Review: Great and healthier alternative to a curling iron, even a flat iron!
Summary: 5 Stars

I've purchased Caruso rollers in the past, used them one time, then promptly returned them after that one use because I didn't achieve the style I was going for. Well, I bought and just received them again to give them another shot and let me just say I am so happy I did! These rollers really are as great as most people say they are! I've gotten much better at rolling my hair and can use the rollers much better.
Some things that I have learned:
1. Steaming the "shields" just adds time to how long it takes your hair to dry, so it's not really necessary (though, I thinks that's said in the guide lol).
2. End papers help your ends be more smooth (non-frizzy)
3. If your rollers are left with dents after you've used them, simply place them back on the steamer for a few seconds and it'll take them out.

I believe these rollers can work for ANYONE'S hair and suggest for anyone to give them a shot.

Customer Review: Greatest thing for busy moms!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have had my Caruso Hair setters for years! With three children and a busy work schedule, plus extra long, thick hair, it makes my mornings a snap! Get up, set hair, get kids up, dressed and fed, clean house, get dressed and put my make up on, unroll my hair and hit it with a couple shots of hairspray and out the door I go! I work in sales and my hair stands up to the midwest wind all day, and I always get compliments on it! I have to replace the curlers every couple of years, but it is worth it. I only go to the hair dresser for a cut, and I do the styling! If there are a few things that I got to have is my hairsetter, mascara and lipstick, and I am set everyday! My hair feels so soft everytime I use it, and I don't have the dry split ends that you would have any other curler. You will fall in love with it after the first time that you use it! Thank you Caruso for such a wonderful product!!

Customer Review: Absolutely awesome, improves hair texture
Summary: 5 Stars

My hair is naturally wavy and quite frizzy, plus I color it every 6 weeks, and blow dry it 4-5 times per week. It has suffered much damage, but I have to do these things to get my hair to behave...it's "out of control" otherwise. These curlers work wonders for me. The steam infuses my hair with moisture which eliminates the frizzies leaving the curls smooth and with a lot of shine...it's amazing. The curls last until I wash them out, but I think that's just because my hair holds a curl anyway (I can make curls with my fingers and a blow dryer that last for days...) Anyway, some people complain the caruso-steam curls don't last so if your hair doesn't hold a curl, anyway, these might or might not work for you. But bottom line, these curlers work great for me because they improve the condition of my hair (whereas hot metal rollers just make it worse) so these are winners in my opinion.

Customer Review: Worth having to re-buy every year or two
Summary: 4 Stars

I first got one of these back when I was in HS. It's the only thing that really curls my hair aside from sleeping all night with things in my head that hurt and ruin my night's sleep and rip out my hair. It's so easy I would use these every morning. Now that I am older, I use them when I want my hair to look good. Best just to put some shape/body into my hair.

The downside: these things get clogged after a year or two of use and I can't figure out how to fix that. They one day just stop producing steam. I just decided to buy my third set, but I'm still really glad that I did. Sure it may cost you $40 or so every time you buy it, but when used over a couple years, that's not even as much as you would spend on hair products in couple months, let alone haircuts, treatments, etc.

For the job it does, it's well worth it to keep buying this product after it wears out.

Customer Review: Pretty good for Medium to long fine thin straight hair
Summary: 4 Stars

I am just tried out the caruso steam sponge rollers. I liked them more than i thought. The curls stay longer than when i used a curling iron or velcro rollers. They last me on average about 6 hours or so. It is very quick, even doing them one at a time, I am able to have my hair set and curled after about 15 minutes. I set them first, do my makeup and then take them out. It is enough time to set them and have them last one day. I do find with my type of hair I do have to do it once a day (even if i do not wash it) it does not stay the same type of curled. Also, sometime have to use a straight iron to uncrimp my hair from the holders since my hair is thin, or use the old school clips to keep the hair up. that works also. overall, very impressed! Best i have used yet for my hair. Works better than curling iron and damages hair less. works for me!
