When I heard about this product, I think of a hair spray to protect the hair from heat ONLY. but actually it works like hair spray to keep hair in place. If I use it on my dry hair and then use my flat iron, actually my hair will end up so hard just like if I had used gel and dry it! So now I just use it when I want to hold my hair in place. it is great as a holding hair spray, but don't even think of using it as a heat protector unless you want to have tangy hair all day.Customer Review: Almost ineffective

I have very thin hair, so it can become brittle and dry quickly. I have tried four different brands of thermal spray, and this one was my least favorite. It helped a little bit, but I still ended up with tons of split ends and dry-looking hair. I would recommend Redken's version - it's fantastic! Oh, and as a side note, Chi's straightening irons are still great, but I am just not crazy about their other hair products (shampoo and conditioner included).Customer Review: It works but feels goopy

I bought this a few days ago and have used it 3 times now with my Instyler. It does work, my hair is straight and not burned. I have think wavy hair and the thing I noticed with this product is my hair felt goopy after straightening it. And afterward my hair isn't as silky as when I have used the Nexxus heat protect product. So I will continue to use it until it is gone but I won't buy it again or any other CHi product again either.Customer Review: Say Goodbye to drug store hair products!!!

Like many girls, I have fried hair...and I would try alot of products to help stop the damage to my hair...when my hair stylist introduced me to this I have never stopped using it...but BUYER BEWARE...don't by CHI products or Paul Mitchell product from anywhere but here or the salon...because they are fake...Not only does this stuff protect your hair from excess heat, it smells awesome...Like mens cologne!!! This is the best heat protectant ever! I spray it on my hair when it's wet & a use a little more before I iron it & it really does protect your hair. When you spray it on you might be disappointed because it doesn't make it instantly silky & it just feels like normal hair spray. But trust me, if you stop using it you will most certainly feel your hair getting drier & frizzier as you continue to use heat on it. I sure did.
