This product works very well for protecting the hair against heat styling products like blow dryers, curling irons and hotrollers. If you are using a flat iron it would be better to use the STRAIGHT GAURD and Silk Infusion for total heat protection! Some products out there say they protect but only give a buffer for lower heat settings. The CHI line was specifically made for HIGH HEAT settings of the flat iron.Customer Review: Good Protection

I've been using this product for about 2 months.
I like how it gives me good heat protection, my hair doesn't feel burned or look burned.
What I don't like is that it leaves my hair feeling rough and icky!!
It doesn't leave it smooth at all!!
It was an OK product, because of the great protection, but I'm definitely looking for another heat protectant next time.

I really can't tell if it protects my hair from damage because I have used it since I started ironing with a super hot professional iron, but it seems to make sense and smells amazing. RIGHT after a wash, blow dry, spray of this product, and thorough iron there is still just a tiny amount of frizz, but natural oils soon tame them and my hair is straight and shiny for days.Customer Review: Iron Guard

I have just recently started straigtening my hair on a regular basis, so I bought this product to help protect my hair from getting to damaged. I really don't know if it works, but it does tend to get the hair pretty wet in spots and it makes your hair steam a lot when you flat iron it. If they made the product in an aerosol (sp?) can, I think it would work better.
