daang gurl that was my response when i showed my sisters this straightener and how straight it got my hair my hair is thick frizzy wavy curly nappy all at the same time and know it looks like my hair is naturally staight and i was skeptical on the price but i didint want to pay double just for name brand so recommend this product to people like me so people get this product so pepole can say daang gurl!!!Customer Review: I really like this iron!

I think this item was a great value. This flat iron works very well at straightening my very thick wavy hair. I like the adjustable temperature control because i need the high temperature when i straighten my hair after a wash/dry. The lower setting works well for a quick touch up after sleeping or being in out in humid weather. I ordered this flat iron because of the great reviews I read. However, like some reviews have stated, it pulls your hair, the metal pieces do not shut all the way which means you cannot straighten a few strands of hair, the velvet does get extremely hot so cannot place your fingers on those to close, and the quality is just awful. It feels super cheap. I'm returning this going back to my old Remington.Customer Review: Great flat iron!

Just wanted to let you all know that I'm African American and I highly recommended this flat iron! It gets my hair straight the first time through and it doesn't produce that burning smell after I go through my hair with it. It's lightweight so your arms don't get terribly tired and it has a swivel cord, so it won't get tangled up. It works great with the CHI silk infusion heat protectant I use!Customer Review: Working well so far

I heard a lot of negative comments about cheaper straightener. Since this is my first one I can't really compare to other more expensive one. I can only say that so far it is working well with my hair. I have layered shoulder length hair so I haven't really had the need to have really straight hair. But it works to tidy those unruly hair that waved/curled out of the way after a night sleep. :)
