This facial moisturizer is thick, uncolored, and unscented. It avoids the problems that cause a lot of sensitivities.
The moisturizer is thick and tends to stay on the surface of the skin rather than being absorbed quickly; while it doesn't seem to absorb as quickly as other products I've tried, I'm not entirely certain that's a bad thing. If you're planning on using a moisturizer under makeup, I'm not certain this would be your first bet, but this is designed for outdoor use (SPF 50), and most ladies who spend lots of time outdoors have forsaken makeup while out there, as the need to apply sunscreen and bug spray would waste your efforts anyway, as would water from your swimming or just plain old perspiration. So I don't think it's an issue that it's too thick to to be worn under makeup.
Besides, I'm a bit uncomfortable with chemicals being absorbed into my skin.
One thing I did notice is that while it does give me a longer window before sensitive skin breaks out, I do need to get this off my face as soon as I don't want the sun protection anymore. Left on for extended periods, it did cause my face to break out, just like everything else does. So if I'm going to be outside for an extended period of time, I may just gauge how at risk I really am for sunburn, and take alternative precautions as well, such as a ball cap, spend some of that time outside in shady areas or under a shelter, etc. and limit how long I keep this on my face. I won't be using this overnight, but who needs SPF at night?
The price is a bit up there, but so is the SPF, and it's meant just for the face, not your whole body. It will last you a while unless you wear it constantly, and you won't burn when you have this on.
