We've always used Cetaphil products with confidence not only because we've been pleased but also because our dermatologist recommends them. This is one product line that doesn't make any false promises but simply delivers as described. How refreshing!
Thus, we certainly give five stars to this item. We're especially pleased with SPF 50 as we live in a very sunny area and know we need all the sun protection we can get. Being fragrance free is another plus, and it isn't greasy.
A good, practical moisturizer that both of us can use.

My son is using Accutane and needs to have very gentle products on his skin, and he absolutely needs sunscreen. The dermatologist recommended Cetaphil cleansers and moisturizers, so I was excited to see this product. He uses this instead of a moisturizer on days he'll be outside for a long time. It's not greasy and absorbs quite quickly. It's also been gentle on his sensitive skin, as this product line is known to be. And, it really seems to work well - at 50 SPF, it is a block and it protects his skin which is so important with Accutane treatement.Customer Review: Great product! Dual-action lotion and sunblock.

I use moisturizing lotion on my face almost every day but hardly ever use sunblock, though reports say we all should be these days to protect from all the bad UV rays. This Cetaphil lotion is perfect because it provides the sun defense (SPF 50) that I'm looking for while also acting as a facial moisturizer whether I'm going out in the sun or not. Most sunscreens are a bit too greasy to use as lotion (plus they don't really serve that purpose). This stuff works as both. When I saw this product and saw it had a SF 50 rating I didn't quite believe it could be any good, because I've tried an SPF 30 in the past and it was almost like paint. Somehow, someway Celaphil found a way to make SPF 50 non-greasy, light weight and with no filmy white residue.
I've been using this for a month now and love it. This moisturizer goes on my face smoothly and feels so light I forget I've got it on. What a nice way to protect my face from the sun's harmful rays.

I didn't really care for this product. The idea of having a moisturizing lotion for your face while at the same time it protects you from the sun, sounded good on paper. But unfortunately, I found that the lotion didn't absorb well into my skin causing my skin to feel and look dry. I regularly use a different product and it works well, so I know that the problem is not with my skin, but with the lotion. I'm giving this product 2 stars instead of 1 since it has a dual purpose.
