Customer Review: Spiral curl-maker is fabulous!

We bought this for the straightener and the spiral curl maker. The straightener works well escecially if you use it with small sections of hair at a time. We LOVE the spiral curl maker part of this contraption! So now I have a new job, which is to fix my teenager's hair every day! But it is soooo worth it! My daughter loves her hairdo because it makes her hair look longer and the curls are gorgeous! The curls hold extremely well with a bit of aerosol hairspray. I would recommend the Chi styler protectant to go with, which makes it easier to tighten the curl while protecting her hair. The Chi also adds shine, just FYI.
To make excellent, bouncy (spiral) curls:
Wind the hair from the clamp upward on each rotation. Focus the hair so it rotates toward your face rather than oriented toward the back of your head. Take small sections vertically and run your brush thru before clamping and twirling in the styler. Leave hair in unit for 30 sections and gently release. Curls should immediately be in a definate spiral at this point. Do not mess with your hair at all until all of the curls have cooled (maybe 3 minutes after the final spiral). Then, bend at the waist letting your hair fall in front of you and finger fluff your hair very gently. While still head-down using an aerosol hair spray, spray your hair from a distance of ~5 inches, quickly without focusing on any curls specifically so that hair doesn't have a stiff feeling. Enjoy!

Ceramic-coated straightening plates for even heat distribution, antistatic, nonstick, gentle, smooth, professional straightening results 60-seconMany hair styling irons have only one heat setting; not this one?it features 25. Fine hair won?t fry at a too-hot setting, and thick hair gets the heat it needs. This professional quality kit comes with two styling heads that lock onto the ribbed handle: a 3/4-inch thick metal barrel that accepts brush attachments, and a heavy-duty plastic clamp with two 1-by-3-inch ceramic plates that evenly heat and straighten hair. Both heads have thumb levers to hold hair in place. Two brush attachments, one for curls and one for spiraling ringlets, slip onto the metal barrel, providing creative leeway in the styling process. On/off buttons make the device simple to use; a red indicator light flashes until the desired heat level is reached.
