Customer Reviews of Conair CHV14JXR Extreme Heat Jumbo and Super Jumbo RollersCustomer Review: Average curls Summary: 3 Stars
This is a nice looking curler set, but the actual job it does is not what I was hoping for. The curlers are very hard to put in because there is no room for your fingers to work without getting burned. Also, I highly recommend purchsing separate clips because the ones that come with it don't hold your hair very well at all. I wish they would make larger rollers, but these are teh largest I could find. I also searched a ton of websites and this was the best price. I haven't traveled with this set yet either, so I'm waiting to see if it holds up. Not a waste of money, but not a hair miracle either....sorry ladies!
Customer Review: Just What I Wanted Summary: 5 Stars
I read the reviews-never had a problem with the degree of hotness or slipping or not enough curl. I have curly hair that can be frizzy. I wanted more professional, stylish look for work. These were perfect. I had the travel set (five rollers), but they don't get as hot and there aren't enough rollers. I didn't want lots of curl..just volume, anti-frizz, and that's exactly what these do. Also, got the jaw clips to use because they are just so much easier. I don't wash my hair every day, but I can freshen my hair with 2 or three quick hot rollers on the top..FAST FREE DELIVERY WITH AMAZON-EASY and great.A Keeper!
Customer Review: Just ok Summary: 3 Stars
Well, they do the job, but they are not all that easy to use. First, the cloth cover of the roller makes it slide right through my hair (which is somewhat fine in texture.) This makes it difficult to roll up successfully. Second, the clips are not good at holding the roller in place. If you really want to use these rollers, buy the plastic clip-on clips that hold the roller more securely. Finally, I was pretty surprised to discover that there is no place available on the unit designed to store the clips when the machine isn't in use.
I'm sure there has to be a better product out there somewhere.
Customer Review: Thought they were good for a while Summary: 1 Stars
When I first got these this summer I thougt they were nice. They heat up quickly and I didn't mind the split down the middle. Then some of the rollers I have dropped on the floor did not seem to fit smoothly into the slot they heat up in and and the stress of pushing them in and pulling them out started to cause the rollers to break apart.
Just this week the back row of rollers stopped heating up and the front row does not seem to have temperature control. The front row got so hot the silver plastic started to melt!!!!
I'm disappointed because I did like them.
Customer Review: Flat hair no more! Summary: 5 Stars
I am very happy with this product. My hair is very fine and thin, and this is an easy way to add volume. I've had the best results when I allow the rollers to heat up for more than 5 minutes (manufacturer states 2 as a minimum). The 12 BIG rollers add a nice bouncy wave (as opposed to tight curls) to my medium length hair. I also purchased the Conair hot roller clips along with this product. If you are like me and have little hair styling coordination, ditch the wire clips that come with the rollers and buy the jaw clips. They are no-fuss and clamp onto the rollers quickly and easily.
