I got these for Christmas. I have wanted these for a while and I think I made the right selection. If you want wavy sexy curls this set of rollers is the way to go. They heat up very quickly, and create beautiful body and curls. I have been reading reviews here from people who commented that the clips were hard to use or that the rollers fell out of their hair. This is because the clips were not inserted properly around the roller. Point the clip prong end first directly at your scalp around the roller and then pivot the clip around the roller. The rollers will be held tightly using this method. Other commenters mentioned they ended up with no curl. As a cosmetologist I can tell you that dirty hair will not hold a curl. You must also wait until the rollers have completely cooled before taking them out. This would seem obvious to most people. Anyway, I LOVE these rollers. I have used them everyday since receiving them for Christmas and everyone has commented on my gorgeous hair. I myself have to admit I am able to create bouncy sexy curls and waves with these rollers and could not be more pleased. The clips could be easer to use if they were the "clamp" type. However, the ones that come with the set are perfectly fine if you know how to use them. These rollers will keep me growing longer hair now that I can create the same styles I see in fashion without the bother of having to use a curling iron. Perfect for those of us with long hair who are frustrated with the small size rollers that come in most hot roller sets. These JUMBO rollers are great for long hair. I reccomend these rollers highly! These curlers are just awesome! Although the box says it only takes 2 minutes to warm up I like to let it warm up for about 10 (I flip on the switch as soon as I wake up). The curlers will get hot but I find if you roll them quickly they don't singe your fingers. I read other reviews who complained about the rollers being too hot against the skin and to avoid that I just put a few pieces of toilet paper underneath and it doesn't hurt my ears, scalp or neck.
It takes me about 5 minutes to put the curlers in my hair and I leave them in for 10 minutes while I dress, eat breakfast ..whatever else I need to do. If I really want to set them I blast them with a shot of hot followed with cold from my hair dryer before unrolling them. The initial crimp from the clip is not noticable and calms down quickly.
My hair looks amazing for the rest of the day (provided it's not humid). It has a ton of bounce, volume and a soft wave that frames my face and really makes my layers stand out. I normally can even get away have it still look "done" the next day after wearing it for a full day and sleeping on it.
My hair is thin and it isn't damaged by these curlers. Plus I am constantly complimented on my hair and find that these fit in really well with a low maintenance routine.
Using a curling iron takes me a hour if I'm lucky and keeps me attached to the sink. This takes less than 10 minutes of effort on my part and gives me a fabulous every day look.

I have long, thick yet fine hair and was looking for a solution to getting shape and volume on days when I don't wash my hair. I was considering buying either rollers or the in-styler. After reading many reviews about the in-styler and that it often breaks quickly, I searched for good rollers and bought these. I am VERY happy with this purchase. I have used them several times per week since I bought them a few weeks ago. I had been concerned about whether I had time for hot rollers, but it takes me maybe 5 minutes to insert them. FAST!
They come with the typical u-shaped roller pins, not the clips that someone added to the photos. They stay in just fine - thank you to the reviewer who supplied the technique of putting them in at 90 degrees then pivoting them underneath. I plug in then take a shower, then put them in a few minutes after the shower. They are plenty hot by that time. I leave them in for maybe 20 minutes - until cool - and I get big, lush, bouncy 'curls'. I put curls in quotes because my hair does not turn out curly - but waves isn't the right word either because waves makes me think of a perm.
No, they don't have a place for the pins but I had a little zipper makeup bag that I got with a cosmetic purchase that I keep in my bathroom drawer.
These are great rollers and I highly recommend them.

I have very long wild, frizzy kinky hair that never wants to cooperate and is neither straight nor nicely curled naturally, but I get tired of just pulling it back in a bun. I did the straight thing for a while, and have recently started venturing into the world of curls. I don't like tight springy curls, but adore big loose wavy curls. These curlers are perfect-- hot to the touch in a minute or less, big enough for my long hair. They smooth out my hair very easily. I got big loose curls with these in just a few minutes, ran a comb through, and instant waves! Not a single kink to be found! I couldn't be happier. It's fast, and works on dry hair (I can just wake up, style and go--I shower at night) unlike some plain rollers that I've tried. Love the clips as well-- my hair is so thick and long that the "velco style" curlers do not stay in my hair, and hurt coming out. These curlers are a little heavy if you use very thin sections of hair, but they fall right out when your done, leaving the curls intact.
The case is a little smaller than I was expecting, which is wonderful. Fits right next to my sink, and there's still room for other bathroom essentials. I wish the curlers were a little bigger, but I'm not complaining about that. I'll keep my eyes open for a nice set of 3 inch curlers, but in the meantime, I'm in love with these.

I have been looking for this kind of body forever, and finally got the guts to try these big rollers. Don't let their size intimidate you, they are wonderful! I have thick hair that is very fine, and I couldn't believe how easy it is to set my hair with these. Smaller sets take forever, if you are being careful not to overload the roller, but this set can handle my large amount of hair. I even have 1 or 2 left over at the end (out of 12 total). They set quickly, and give you sexy waves and body that will last all day.
I agree that the set heats up very fast, but I find that the rollers placed in last (that are a bit uncomfortable to handle because of the heat) set the best curls, so if you know that your hair requires high heat, don't be hasty. You will appreciate how much better the curls set when you give it just a little more time to heat up!
I can't say anything aye or nay towards the dropping of curlers and how they don't fit in just right afterwards, but I have noticed that there are certain ones that fit in certain spots better than others, so if you purchase these and are having difficulties putting them back in the slots, try moving them around before you give up and just try to force them in.
So far, I am very pleased with this product, and would not hesitate to purchase it again.
