I absolutely LOVE this thing!!! It straightens my hair SOOOOOO much faster than my other one. I did my hair in 10-15 minutes as opposed to an hour! All my friends were giving me compliments on how good my hair looks. I straightened my friend's VERY VERY LONG hair (which is very frizzy) and it looked AMAZING!! Even her sister said it looked good. The only problems are: 1) I sometimes forget to press the button to turn it on because my other one turned on automatically an 2) I always turn the heat adjuster while I'm using it. i was slightly reluctant to buy this straightener after reading several bad reviews, along with some great ones, too. i decided to buy it, because with such a low price, well, who wouldn't? so far, i've only used it once, but it was so great, i couldn't believe it got a single bad review. it straightened my thick hair perfectly in just a few seconds, and i only had to iron each section of my hair once to get it stick straight. it took less than five minutes total, and my hair feels smooth and soft. this works perfectly! it would make a perfect gift for anyone!Customer Review: amazing straightener

About two years ago I got a straightener by Conair almost exactly like this one. Over the past two years I've used it 2-4 times a week and it's never failed me. I have VERY thick hair and the size is perfect. I always put it on the highest settings but I've never burned my hair or myself. Rarely it frizzes, usually leaving my hair soft and smooth. I'm getting a new straightener only because I need one that works wet and dry, although I'll continue to use this one if it's needed. This is a great straightener for all hair types and great if you have thick hair.Customer Review: Wow!!

I was looking for a good, yet unexpensive, flat iron and decided to look around the net before having to drive everywhere... Well I came across this one and read all these good reviews about this straightner so I headed out to buy it, got home, and tried it... It worked magic!! Wow - It was great, heated up QUICK and I loved how the small combs work with it. Now I dont have to hold a comb with one hand and iron with the other... I love this and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for good results without spending a lot of money. Try it out for yourself!Customer Review: meh.. decent.

This straightener will get the job done, but I would not purchase another one.
I have used a Sedu for about 3 years until it finally kicked the bucket. I was low on cash so I thought I'd try something not as expensive, especially considering the great reviews. This thing is large, bulky, and pulls my hair if I'm not very careful. The end result leaves my hair looking a bit like straw, whereas my older expensive straightener always left my hair looking (and feeling) silky.
Save for something better, it's worth the extra money.
