Customer Reviews of Conair Infiniti Tourmaline Hair Designer (Wine)Customer Review: The BEST hair device I've ever owned. Summary: 5 Stars
When I tried the conair infinity I was excited by a bit aprehensive. I've been let down by every styling device before. But in about 15-20 minutes I looked like I just left a salon! No exaggeration! I'm still a little surprised quite frankly. My hair looks smooth and shaped and feels great. I can't help touching my hair when I pass by a mirror. ;-)
Before the infinity I tried all the new hair straightening / smoothing gadgets : straightening irons, ionic hairdryers, hairbrush dryers (shaped like a round brush). They all left me disappointed. They never got my hair into the correct style and they often left my hair frizzy. Given enough time to dry my hair (40+ minutes), I was able to get a decent shape, but nothing I loved - even after a long blow dry session. I've stuggled with curly wavy frizzy hair my entire life. And quite frankly I always envied those women who could get themselves together quickly compared to my "high maintenance" (and often not satifying) hair routine. Let's face it - when your hair looks great, you feel wonderful. I wanted to feel low maintenance too! ;-)
But this hair device lives up to it's hype!!! One feature they list is that the nozzle can be rotated. At first I thought - big deal, just packaging mumbo jumbo....but then I found this feature to be very helpful. Instead of twisting and contorting my arm all over, I just turned the nozzle so that my hand was always in a comfortable position. Even the back of my hair feels great and smooth. My hair is curly, wavy and frizzy, with a medium texture and I used the device on setting # 3 but with low heat as the high heat was drying my hair faster than I was able to use the device. Maybe with time I will get more adept at drying it even fast, but right now I cannot complain about 20 minutes of drying time. The device only takes a couple of minutes to get used to holding and using.
Only one little negative - the packaging. It's a box in a plastic box and there's really no way to open this without doing even a little minor damage to the packaging. So if you are thinking about trying it but maybe returning it if it doesn't work for you, be very careful. There is tape on the inside of the cardboard box too. So watch out if you are "trying it". But I doubt after trying it that you would even consider returning it. I cannot say enough good things about this device. Worth the price!
