Customer Reviews of Conair SR11 Shower Radio, BlueCustomer Review: Rock-N-Roll Showertime! Summary: 5 Stars
With all the bad reviews I was initially scared to order this but I figured for just under $10 I will give it a shot for myself. For that price how could you not. It takes four AA batteries that are locked away in a rubber-sealed compartment on the back locked in tight with an easy hand twist of a screw. I immediately put it right in the shower and as with most radio's without an external antennae placement is key with this item. It took a couple of minutes for it is a little tricky because when I hung it and my hand was still near the radio the station would come in great then as I pulled my hand away it lost it. So by trial and error I found that hanging it from the shower curtain rod was perfect and easily hidden when not in use. I do NOT use it for AM listening so I'm not totally sure about that reception. But works great for me and my FM Rock-N-Roll shower!
Customer Review: product sucks Summary: 1 Stars
I have bought over $1mn of products from amazon.com and this is hands down the worst.
I have never bought a conair product (I am a man, I have relatively short hair), but I can say with certainly that even if they come out with a luxury line, I will never buy a product from them ever.
The radio simply didn't work. Multiple batter swaps, and yes, I know how to put in batteries and toggle switches and dials.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, no matter what the color (there are others on here identical but just another color).
I am returning this to amazon. Amazon ought to think about controlling its marketplace and barring products that get ratings this low from sale, like walmart does in their marketplace. it's truly terrible, and amazon should avoid becoming ebay.
Customer Review: Can't get out of the shower Summary: 5 Stars
I was looking at the different shower radios available on Amazon, and decided to go with this one because of the price. Here are some little things about it that were noticeable:
* Finding your station can take some time, since the dial is manual.
* Battery lasts. I shower at least once a day and use it every time. It's been two months with the original batteries, and they're still running.
* sound quality is not amazing, but all I want is talk radio and it works fine. It's clear and loud enough.
Be careful with this radio. If I play NPR I can't get out for 30-40 minutes.

Original batteries still running. I love it so much I revisited this page to order another one for my second bath.
Customer Review: Great shower sounds! Summary: 4 Stars
The Conair SR11 doesn't sound like my big audio system; after all, the speaker is only a couple of inches across.
But it meets and exceeds my expectations for a low-price device that allows me to listen to music and catch up on the news while taking my morning shower. Its sound is clear and precise, with no rattle. Heck, the sound quality is better than I get from the $45 clock radio I purchased for the guest bedroom!
Others have downgraded it for low sound quality. I disagree, and suggest that their expectations might have been a bit high. This is an inexpensive radio for the shower, and it delivers decent, clear sounds with a solid-feeling device. It is far better than the older model it replaces -- a Conair I used for more than 10 years with few complaints.
Customer Review: Great for the price Summary: 5 Stars
I read many of the reviews on this product before purchasing. First off, it is only $10. Don't expect a radio that has the ability of a "boom box" stereo. This is made to hang from your shower rod and give you sound while showering.
I wanted it to listen to a morning talk show while I shower. I never change the station and only use it 1x a day (during my shower). I have had it for 5 months and use it for 10-15 minutes EVERYDAY. I am still using the same Energizer batteries I put in when I first got it. They are not Lithium or any other special brand...just basic Energizer batteries. I do occassionally adjust the sound and that works just fine. But mostly, it stays on the same station at the same volume level and does it well.
Can't beat it for $10.
