Customer Review: Too short and too hot to handle...

I'm taking a trip abroad so I wanted a compact styler that could curl under the ends of my shoulder length straight hair (which insists on flipping up!) I purchased both the mini pro flat iron and the curling iron and gave them a test run.
The flat iron was ridiculously tiny--that got packed right back up for return. I tried the curling iron a couple of times but concluded that the barrel is much too short to do all of my hair in a timely manner. The barrel is 2 inches log--if it was 3-3 1/2 inches I might have kept it. Also, the travel sleeve that came with it only fits the curling iron--the cord is stored on the outside by an elastic band attached to the sleeve. A travel pouch would have been better.
It heats up very quickly but there is no temperature regulator and the tip gets EXTREMELY hot which poses a safety hazard.
