Customer Review: MINE ARE SO OLD, I'VE LOST TRACK

I have long fine hair, pretty much the long "Rachel" (Jennifer Aniston style when she was on friends). I use these as my sole set of rollers and I travel a lot so I stick them in the bottom shelf of my 26" suitcase and I have no problem. They are at least 6 to 7 years old and they still work great. The lid did crack a long time ago then eventually broke off completely. Guess what, they still work fine! I am looking to buy another set just for home so I can leave the old set in my luggage always. I have owned dozens of hairsetters before this one and this is my very favorite.
I think they are ideal for someone with longer hair because you NEED the jumbo size. I just put 3 to 4 rollers on the top of my head and that is all I need.

I have the full size version of these rollers, and I can tell you - they are FAR superior to these travel curlers. The box advertises instant heat, but in reality my curlers take about 5 - 10 minutes to heat up fully. (I have pretty thick hair, so this means I have to put all five curlers in my hair 2 times, thus having as much as 20 minutes heat up time to do my whole head!) Even at full heat, these curlers don't make the cut. They are barely warm (especially compared to my full size ones) so they barely curl my hair. After about 30 minutes, all curl is gone completely. I don't know if I got a defective set, but these definitely weren't worth the money or the space savings. I should have tried them before I left for my trip, becaue they don't work at all on my hair.Customer Review: Conair Jumbo Rollers work great!

Although it is compact enough to easily fit into a suitcase, I did not purchase this product specifically for travel. I use it on a regular basis. The rollers heat up very quickly -- there's an LED on one of them that goes from red to white when all the rollers are hot. The rollers seem very durable but the clips are plastic. (An order form for replacement clips came with the rollers and I've been wondering if I should go ahead and order some in case I break one.) My hair is very thick but I haven't had any tangling problems and the set lasts a long time. This is so much better than the time-consuming and arm-tiring method of blow drying I used to do.

I already had a set of these at home but recently went on a trip to China where the electricity is 220V. I noticed this newer set of curlers has dual voltage so I purchased them. Curlers get very hot both here in the U.S. and in China. What's nice is that I just had to move a small switch on the bottom of the heating unit to change the voltage. These curlers give great long-lasting curls and I love the more secure clips that come with the set. Only negative is that you have to be careful with the lid since I've had many of their lids break on me. That is why I usually bring them in my carry-on. They are small so don't take up much room in your luggage.Customer Review: Travel Wonder

I recently went on a week long business trip and purchased the product just prior to leaving. With the new airline restrictions on weight, I was unable to take my regular hairsetter. The Conair TS7N more that fit the bill for my needs. It's lightweight, compact, and heats quickly for those early morning meetings. In business, it's important to look good and feel good as well. This product is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. Between business trips, I plan to use the Conair in my recreational vehicle. It's become a permanent part of my travel.
