These rollers are great! They get just hot enough-I only leave them in for about 7 minutes. I wouldn't want them to get too hot because these will style my hair without the damage of very high heat.You never burn your fingers. The velvet covering keeps a lot of heat damage from happening to your hair. You CAN order the wire clips, they work fine. My hair is almost to the middle of my back and the curls are a perfect size.Customer Review: never would buy this again

The heating rollers worked fine, they heated quickly, and the clips held my long hair without any problem. The issue is - this is NOT travel size - case is way too large and delicate plastic. There is no storage for the clips. To call this a Travel Hairsetter is a joke. If you want to use this for normal everyday home use, should not be a problem. These rollers are 1.5" thick and are too large for my thin, straight, long hair. They don't curl my hair enough. They do add volume and make my ends curly but I wanted a bit more curl. The deal-breaker is the clips though. They hold the hair well, but the creases look horrible. I end up throwing my hair up into a ponytail just to hide the creases...what is the point of that!? I purchased this set of curlers before a recent trip to Italy. They work perfect! They were easy to pack and heated up perfectly. I had read some reviews that the lid cracked easily. Mine made it to Italy and back I had no problems. I have to say I am very pleased with these curlers - in fact, since I have been back, I have continued to use these instead of my regular curlers! I bought this item to use on a recent trip to China because of its size and the dual voltage....it performed wonderfully and I find myself using it quite often now that I am home. The only reason for the 4 star rating is the fact that the clips cannot be stored in with rollers and are somewhat fragile.....You would think that the designer of a travel hairsetter would have thought of this!
