I have been using Cruex off and on the past 30 years for jock-itch fungus. I have also tried several other products (sprays and ointments), both generic and "name brand". As anyone who has had Jock-itch will tell you, it can be very stubborn to get rid of...and during the course of an outbreak, it's quite uncomfortable. So, naturally you want to find something that works not only well but FAST! Cruex does both.
The other products make claims to "kill most jock-itch fungus". Maybe they killed a few spores in a petri dish. Who knows? In my experience, they haven't been strong enough to kill any jock-itch breakout that I've had. The other products may work as a preventative...again, I don't know. What I do know...is that even though Cruex costs more, it does what it says it does and when you're in serious discomfort, that's all that matters!!
