Customer Review: Ok Soap, but Expensive & Rough Texture

Cuticura Bar Soap, Oily Skin, Fragrance Free 3oz
This is a decent soap for blemish-prone skin, but it's overpriced & has a scratchy texture. Over $6 for a 3oz bar is a bit ridiculous. The oatmeal pieces give it a natural look, but also make it rough on the skin. The bar is long lasting & the scent is very mild. I would describe it as a salty oatmeal smell. I like that it doesn't have petrolatum like the Cuticura dry skin variety, and has antibacterial triclocarban instead of triclosan. It's not vegan friendly, though---Has Sodium Tallowate which is from beef fat & may cause blackheads, although I didn't have that problem. Overall it's an ok soap, but not wonderful enough for me to buy again. I recommend getting Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree bar soap instead, Dr. Bronner - Organic Tea Tree Castile Soap Bar, 5 oz bar soap. Tea tree is good for oily/acne-prone skin & Bronner's has organic ingredients. The bar is bigger (5oz) & it's cheaper, so it's also a better deal than Cuticura.
