Customer Review: Nice but won't remove eye makeup (stings badly even being careful)

I'm a lazy girl but always wash all my makeup off before bed. I normally use Johnson's Daily Essentials Refreshing Gel Wash. You can wash all your eye makeup off in a jiffy just simply washing your face (even tough mascara and liner) without at all drying out under your eyes - but I can't get it here in the U.S.
That said, some people in a beauty forum recommended this Dove cleanser as equivalent. OOps. Not. Really not.
Stings the heck out of my eyes. Badly. Tried 3 times and I even wake up with bloodshot upset eyes after using it at night. It doesn't foam much if at all either - it's more like thick, strong smelling cream. Very disappointed with my expectations from folks - not blaming Dove.
In fairness to the product, they don't claim it won't sting your eyes. And it doesn't strip/dry my skin *except* around the eyes. But for me it's not foaming or gentle and I'm sorry I'm stuck with three of these.
