Customer Review: Too dim to really help - impractical for travel

This is a pretty mirror and the regular mirror is fine. The LED light is not very bright - even on the highest setting. So it isn't really all that helpful for doing makeup. You have to be about an inch away in order to see clearly in the magnifying mirror - and the whole thing is large and doesn't compact itself in any way for travel. The bag it comes with isn't padded to protect the mirror, so I wouldn't feel comfortable packing it and expecting it to arrive undamaged.
I didn't really need it for travel, but I really did want a brighter mirror for doing makeup.
