Some people are going to like this a lot, & others will dislike it a lot. It comes in one of those hard plastic non-opening sleeves that are designed to prevent in-store theft, which makes life miserable for those of us paying money for it. After opening the package with my hacksaw (just kidding, but that's not far from the truth)... At first glance, it seems poorly made. It's a medium weight plastic, unlike many other trimmers which are metal. The blades cut from each side (unlike front facing blades found in most other trimmers), & the tiny blades seem too recessed to clip hair closely. I had to try three fresh Duracell AAA batteries in it before I got it to work. It seems that the trick is to tap the battery end on a counter top to jar it a little, due to poor contacts inside. Aside from being cheaper than the better constructed trimmers, thus far there seemed to be no reason to recommend this. But after trying it, I found that just about the only good thing about it is that it does the job better than any of the several other trimmers I've tried. And that's a good thing that counts for a lot. So it gets 4* for its functionality. As for durability, that remains to be seen; I wouldn't want to drop this device on a hard bathroom tile floor.
