The idea that this gets really hot, didn't bother me, that's what it's supposed to do, right? However, it is very easy to burn yourself on this iron vs. the more traditional irons. However, it does do exactly what I had hoped. It gives a very beautiful wave/curl. You just have to get used to a new style of curling. I would tell my friends to buy this one.
