I am a 37 year old female with very fair, Fitzgerald type I sensitive skin. After receiving V beam laser treatment for mild rosacea, I was advised by my dermatologist to wear sunblock on a regular basis. As this product was promoted by my dermatologist and also approved by the American Academy of Dermatologists, I assumed it was a good choice and safe for my sensitive skin. After three months of using this product on a daily basis, my eyes became extremely sensitive due to the fumes emitted when I applied the product to my face and I developed conjunctivitis twice in one month; (the ophthalmologist who treated me assured me that the conjunctivitis was chemically induced and I had no reason to doubt him as I have no prior history of eye problems). Stupidly, I persisted in using this product and have since developed a horrible rash across my entire face complete with broken capillaries and patches of melasma, (melasma was not a problem for me prior to using this product). As I see it, it will take many more laser treatments to, hopefully, undo the damage done by this product. I have researched several of the ingredients and discovered that one ingredient contains formaldehyde, (which would explain the burning in my eyes whenever I applied this product to my face). If even one person reads this review and avoids this product, then I will have done my part as a concerned citizen. My dermatologist no longer recommends this product to his patients and I feel very strongly that it should be recalled by the FDA, as it poses a significant threat to the very persons who would be most inclined to use it, those of us with sensitive skin.
