Thick haired but not very very thick haired me...cannot get this to imprint after the first couple of tries; it's as if it was hot for a few minutes, never to return to that setting.
Also, there is a caveat attached to the omnipresent cord that it has lead so one should wash hands after handling. This iron is a lot of trouble and even using two hands, I can barely create waves let alone crimping.
Hate the fact that I squandered so much on postage (nearly as much as the device).
