This mask is completely awesome. I've tried many different masks before containing bentonite, kaolin, sulfur, etc. But this is my first purchase of an activated charcoal mask. I have really oily skin and I hate it. I try to avoid photos because of how shiny my face is and my eyes burn through the middle of the day because oil on the bridge of my nose gets into them. I use this mask twice a week and it works better than all of the other masks I've tried at controlling my oil problem. Although my face still gets shiny, it is a lot less shinier and I'm seeing a huge reduction in breakouts.
This mask contains activated charcoal and pentapeptide-3. I think the reason why this mask works so well is because charcoal has more absorptive power than clay so it absorbs all the oil and impurities stuck in my pores. Sometimes I even use this as a spot treatment on my bigger pimples and it definitely helps suck out the stuff in there and bring it to a head. I purchased this mask solely for the charcoal, but apparently the pentapeptide-3 in there will help diminish the signs of aging. I can't say anything about how well that works though because I'm 22.
The bottom line is if you have oily skin that is prone to breakouts, you will be amazed at what a charcoal mask can do for you. The cap does get clogged up, but it's no big deal because you can just unscrew the cap and dispense directly out of the bottle.
