Customer Review: Awesome Moisturizing Stick!

Gerber alleges that the product is "Gentle Caring For Baby's Face," and that it "Keeps Baby's Face Soft." I can attest to the "gentleness" of the product, as I tested it on my own lips before applying to my son's. I wouldn't say it "KEEPS" baby's face soft. If applied frequently, it will reduce and eliminate dryness. Gerber also claims that the product is "Fragrance Free and Hypoallergenic" however, I can smell the rosemary. I often use rosemary in cooking so it's not offensive to me, but I certainly wouldn't call it "Fragrance-Free." The rosemary smell isn't overpowering, but it's certainly noticeable to my nose anyway. Neither my son, nor I suffer from allergies, so I cannot attest to, or refute the hypoallergenic claim.
The first moisturizing stick I acquired only lasted 2-days. I applied it to my son's face, and the following morning I could see his lips were actually healing. YEAH! That evening my husband took over the bedtime routine, and he applied the Teeny Faces Moisturizing Stick as suggested. The following morning when I tried to apply the balm, the stick came out with the cap. Either my son snagged the stick, and twisted the dial while the cap was intact, or my husband did it. I'm inclined to think my son did the dirty deed, but wonders never cease. The receipt was tossed out with the trash, so a return was not in my future. The only way I could retrieve the stick was to use a knife, which demolished the balm.
A week later, I acquired another moisturizing stick. This time I applied rules and regulations to the application, and supervision of the product. So far, this moisturizing stick has lasted 5-months, and it probably has another month to go. I have since experienced the stick-stuck-in-the-cap 3-times, and have learned that if one replaces the cap, and taps the stick onto a hard surface, such as a counter, the stick will slide down onto the dial. Duh... now why didn't I think of that the first time?
Teeny Faces Moisturizing Stick certainly reduced chapping and dryness on my son's face. As a preventative measure, I apply the balm several times during the day, or his lips will split, and his cheeks will chap. I have since purchased a 3rd stick, which stores neatly in my purse. In my opinion, it's a small price to pay to keep my little guy's face chap-free.
