I bought this because I have very sensitive skin on my face, and the best waxing experiences I've had with brows and upper lip have always been with muslin free wax. I heat it easily on the stovetop by placing the metal tin on a small cookie sheet and laying it over a low burner for a few minutes. I suggest laying down a sheet of foil on the cookie sheet so you dont drip wax on it. The wax tin will become quite hot and you'll be unable to touch it even on the handle they attach to it, so I just use a potholder and carry the whole cookie tray to the mirror and set it down on a trivet. The wax is easy to apply with the plastic applicator they give you. I love that this can be used over and over so no need for popsicle sticks for this smaller surface. Just make sure the wax isn't too hot before applying it to your face. If it was steaming when you took it from the stove, it's too hot...wait a few minutes. Once applied you let it dry, about 5 minutes. The use a nail to lift an edge of the wax and pull as you would if it were a muslin strip. It has worked perfectly for me on my upper lip, brows, and chin. And while 1oz sounds like so little, it really lasts a long time since you are only using this for your face. I bought two to make it worth the shipping cost, and 6 months later I still haven't used the second one.
