Customer Review: Like it, but had to use more than just 2 for my hair

It took me quite a few attempts to get it right. My hair is about 3 inches past the shoulder, and it is very thick and dry. Pretty unmanageable, in other words. I've tried so many other hair accessories and clips, and suffice to say that none of them worked for my hair at all.
I got pretty frustrated when I realized I needed more than 2 pins, and decided to order 2 more sets. Honestly, even with 6 pins, I have a little trouble getting my bun to stay up on its own, but when I tried using a hair band to tie my hair into a ponytail first, they worked like a dream. I guess the trick is to keep improvising, if it doesn't work the first time. I interlock the pins too, even though the instructions on the packaging suggest otherwise. The end result is a fairly casual bun, which really looks pretty in my opinion.
The reason I gave this a 4 star rating is because of the price. At close to $10 per set, it seems a little pricey, at least to me. And because I bought 3 sets in total, I've spent close to $30 on these. I found these to be cheaper at Target, but they didn't have stock for my hair color. On the bright side though, these pins are pretty sturdy and well-made, so there's no worry about them falling apart anytime soon.
So in a nutshell, these do work. I'm glad I got these.
