I purchased the Oster Fast Speed Clipper through Amazon after much research & many reviews.My husband has very short hair & trims it perhaps every three weeks or so. The first time he used the clipper , the 1/4 inch guide snapped in two! Thinking that it was just one of those things & probably a fluke, I purchsed this set. Again, he used the 1/4 inch guide (twice this time) & it snapped in two! Unbelievable.
In retrospect, we should have just got an "off-the shelf" trimmer at Wal-Mart. The clipper seems like a fine product, but the quides are just plain flimsy!

GUIDE COMBS*SET of 6*FAST FEED Fits Model(s) 23 Fast Feed, 96,113,179,197,274-a,606,616,617,830,1545,6906,950, 76500 & 830 Salon Pro Adjustable Clipper (These combs are also known as 050, 030, or set "B") Low Rail Guide Combs ATTACHING GUIDE COMBS: The comb attachment is grooved to fit snugly over the blade. Place blade guard over comb, then slide the comb down firmly as far as it will go. Make sure the comb is seated securely against the lower blade. To disengage the comb, pull and slide the comb upward until it is off the clipper.Accessories
