If I could give zero stars for this item, I would. These thinning scissors are a complete waste of money. They are only 5" long overall (not counting the 1/2" finger guide), and the cutting surface is only 2" long.
They do not open and close worth a damn. They can only snip with the last 1/4" of the cutting surface tip. See the product picture shown with this item, where the scissors are just barely open? THAT's only as far as these scissors will open and close smoothly. Open the scissors any more than that, and they get stuck in the open position and will not close. On the very rare occasions when I could miraculously get the stupid things to close, they simply bent my hair and chewed it.
If I wanted my hair to be chewed, I'd let my cat at it. At least she would do a neater job of it and might actually manage to trim some off.
Don't waste your money. By the time you pay shipping etc, it's more worthwhile find something better that actually WORKS.
