It's really strange the first few times you use it, especially since most shampoos out there are all liquids. Also, when it arrives, you realize just how tiny this thing is (it's about the size of 3 or 4 hotel sample soap bar stacked). According to the J.R. Liggett website, a 3.5oz bar of shampoo is equivalent to a 24oz bottle of liquid shampoo. I haven't had it long enough to confirm or deny this, but it does make since to me. It's also cheaper than the bottled stuff I was buying earlier and came in a 100% biodegradable corn wrapper.
It does leave my hair feeling "sticky" when I rinse it out. BUT, to me it feels like my hair is SO clean it's "squeaky" clean and that's why it feels "sticky". A little apple cider vinegar helps as a conditioner. The more I use it, however, the less sticky it feels. Today, it really didn't feel any worse than any other shampoo, so my hair must be getting used to it. Don't worry, though, because once it dries, your hair is soft and not at all tangled!!
The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that I'm not a big fan of the scent ... it's odd. My girlfriend, however, loves it. It doesn't stick around much after the shower, though.
