I bought this kit thinking it was going to be fun and relatively simple. I was wanting something like the shellac polish, easy to apply, UV set, and long lasting on natural nails. This was not the product I was wanting but decided to give it a try anyway because the price was right. It is much trickier. It is thick and gloppy,and takes some finesse to apply. The kit comes with builder to make artificial tips but no forms to build them on, clear gel, a base coat, a brush, some alcohol stuff for cleaning, little sponges, and a DVD explaining that every thing you might want to do needs a top coat that is not included. I used it without the top coat and it seemed fine but have only had it on a day. My nails feel thicker than when I had the shellac polish done at the salon but that could be the person doing the manicure ;-) I don't know what the topcoat is for but I would recommend ordering it with your purchase and the tip forms if you are wanting to "build" your nails out.
